Opposites Learning Cards

in Toys

I‘ve gotta say it:  Qué ingeniosos los de Ingenio! There.  By now you’ve learned about several of their products and you probably already agree with me.  I had a hard time choosing which products I would receive to review because my daughter is only two years old and most of their toys and games are for the 3+ gang.  Roxana figured Camila was ready to learn her opposites and that these bilingual learning cards could be a fun way to do it, with the added benefit that she could grow into it.  She was right (she tends to do that!)

This portable game has 20 Magic Motion cards that flip between the two opposite images when you tilt it a bit.  So, let’s say you’re looking at the above picture of the day/night opposites, when the card is standing normal it’s Day/Día and when you tilt it up a bit the picture turns into Night/Noche.  Yeah, you get it.  These are no ordinary flash cards.  Ingenio has ingeniously managed to make the learning of opposites and their names in two languages creatively fun!

I have to admit, though, that my girl is still at the stage of being in awe by the pictures changing and carrying around the cards by its handle on her arm while waving “¡Adios!”  We’ll get to the learning part soon enough…

All of Ingenio´s bilingual toys are available via Amazon.  Of course, the best way to get them is via La Tiendita.

These cards would be great for my two little ones, it’s the kind of “game” appropriate for their ages and would help them acquire vocabulary in both languages. Thanks for the nice finds!

I would love to have this product. I have been struggling to play with my baby at the same time as teaching him. I think this cards would do it for me. It would give the structure that I need, and also my husband would learn more Spanish and our 2 languages would be connected with this toy. Thank you for the opportunity.

From the sounds and looks of yet another terrific toy from the team at Ingenio, this one fits a song I use in my trainings with fellow teachers called “Opposites/opuestos.”

I would love to use this opposite game during my trainings and let teachers and homeschooling parents know how cool and affordable this line of bilingual toys is!

What a great teaching tool/game. My son is into identifying letters and pictures, this would be a great extension for him to learn more in English and Spanish.

I have been learning Spanish on my own and really enjoy it. I also enjoy sharing words with my granddaughters, ages 8, 5, and 16 months. We use words like mariposa, caballito del mar, estrella, abuela, perro, gato and others as often as possible. There are even lots of story books in Spanish at “Gran’s” house to encourage their curiosity. This looks like a resource we would enjoy. Thanks for offering a chance to win.

Porque? Porque it is sooooo hard for me to find any good bilingual toys around the area I live in (unless I order them online). And because my 3 year old is at the perfect age to benefit from these cards and really, it is also not to early to start introducing them to my little 21 month old toddler. Por eso y mucho mas!

gracias.

These cards sound perfect for my son. He is only 21 months so he would use them for awhile as he could grow into them. I love the concept and know that he would be intrigued by the changing cards. As a teacher, I would use them in my classroom to introduce new vocabulary to my students.
